Starting Thursday, September 23, the Peoria City/County Health Department (PCCHD) will be releasing an updated version of the COVID-19 daily infographic on Peoria County’s main COVID-19 informational webpage and social media pages.
The newly formatted infographic will continue to include much of the same information as the previous infographic, but will be a more convenient size for digital viewing and sharing on social media. The daily COVID-19 statistics will also be presented in a clearer, easier-to-read format.
Information presented includes:
- Total population vaccinated
- Confirmed cases since the previous report
- Current and cumulative deaths
- Current hospitalizations and home isolation cases
- Cumulative information on total cases and cases by age and race
The Peoria City/County Health department began reporting cases on March 16, 2020.
“After talking to members of our community[JD1] and reading public comments, we decided to make a graphic that not only clarified our daily information but was also easier to read across all digital devices,” explains Public Health Administrator Monica Hendrickson. “This infographic continues to be one of the most useful pieces of information that we provide to the public regarding the serious impact COVID-19 continues to have on our community and local healthcare systems.”
Peoria City/County Health Department’s COVID-19 infographic is updated by PCCHD epidemiologists and shared to multiple social media channels and the PCCHD website Monday through Friday.
The infographic is updated daily at www.pcchd.org/COVID19 and shared to the Peoria City/County Health Department’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/PeoriaHealthDepartment.
