HEALTHCARE COLLABORATIVE – CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
Peoria – The Healthcare Collaborative, a group of local organizations and healthcare agencies focused on health equity, will be hosting a series of community healthcare conversations with residents living in the 61603, 61604, and 61605 zip code areas in June and July.
With a goal to advance health equity by addressing healthcare disparities, the Healthcare Collaborative invites community members from the 61603, 61604, 61605 zip codes to provide insight on matters related to general health and healthcare, including topics such as cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, and mental health. Participants in these hour-and-a-half conversations will receive a $30 gift card.

The Healthcare Collaborative addressing health equity includes the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine Peoria, Peoria City/County Health Department, OSF Healthcare, UnityPoint Health, Heartland Health Services, Heart of Illinois United Way, AMT, and Bradley University, working with local educational and community organizations including, but not limited to, Carver Community Center, Hult Center For Healthy Living, East Bluff Community Center, Friendship House, St. Paul Baptist Church, Peoria Public Schools, Greater Peoria Family YMCA, and the East Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services.
